βΎ the synopsis
A single night with Meg and Iβm willing to do anything to save her from Hades, the man holding her captive, victim to his every whim.
A bargain with the devil himself seems a small price to pay in order for Meg to go freeβ¦ Until I learn that sheβs exactly where she wants to be.
Sheβs Queen to Hadesβs King.
And Iβm the fool that walked right into their trap.
The same fool who desires them both as much as I hate them. I canβt resist Megβs touchβor stop from being drawn to Hadesβs dark desires. By the time I realize just how deep a game heβs playing, it may be too lateβ¦
βΎ the characters
Hades was banned from Olympus a long time ago – now he has The Underworld – an exclusive club that caters to Carver City’s kinky and villainous elite while also being the greyest area for business there is – unless you fuck up or come too close to Hades, because he has his own reasons to accept bargains.
Ten years ago, he wanted Meg, and now she’s his equal.
Now, he wants Hercules. For revenge. Or at least, that’s what he thinks at first.
Meg is the Queen to Hades’ King – they’re equal; and yet, Meg is more than broken – and she has Hades and his closed off demeanor to thank for that.
She didn’t think it would take another man to fix their relationship – until Hades tells her to go f*ck their waiter – and of course, she does.
Hercules hasn’t been to Olympus in a while.
He got out, and now he’s trying to hold himself above the water as a waiter.
Until he meets Meg and finds himself falling for her head over heels.
After learning that Meg belongs to Hades, Hercules desperately signs his life away, and seals the deal with a kiss – a kiss that makes him fall for Hades, too.
βΎ the world building
Carver City is where the villains live.
And in the middle, thereβs a grey area β or at least, itβs as grey as its ruler Hades will allow it to be.
In Carver City, thereβs a constant push and pull of power, and if you arenβt careful, you get sucked right into it.
βΎ what i liked about this book
Itβs an adult version of Disneyβs Descendants β and very kinky.
I like the fact that this universe says f*ck classical Disney pairing and instead gives us Disney villain x Disney hero AUs β this time we have Hades, Megaera and Hercules.
I am a huge fan of kink club settings, especially when thereβs an effort in displaying the consensual elements of a relationship like that.
As for the smut content β I got more than I could’ve asked for.
I was doubting how much hotter than Desperate Measures this could be, but let me just say, I wish I was Meg.
I want what she has (in this book). Gimme it, please.
βΎ what i disliked about this book
There wasn’t anything I disliked about this book.
βΎ should you read this book?
Unless you want a quick erotica fix, you really donβt have an excuse not to read this book.
It was one of the hottest erotic novels Iβve read since Door of Bruises, and if youβve read my review of that, you will know this comparison speaks volumes.
Learn My Lesson might just ruin your childhood, but lets be honest β you read erotica, so you likely already are ruined as it is.
