☾ the synopsis
Two women. One bed. And a night that changes everything.
It’s a week before Christmas and Emma and Sylvia are stranded at the remote hotel where they work. With only one room and one bed available, they have no choice but to share.
No Room At The Inn is a friends to lovers kinky festive romance.
☾ the characters
Emma is a submissive who works as a bartender at an exclusive hotel that accomodates kinksters.
One night, she is stranded at the hotel due to a flood, and as it so happens, Emma feels ready enough to admit to her colleague and play-partner that she has feelings for her.
Sylvia is Emma’s colleage, and a dom Emma sometimes engages with.
When Emma and Sylvia agree to share a room for the night, Sylvia can’t stop herself and gives in to Emma’s temptations, only to realize that she, too has feelings.
☾ the world building
The story is set at a hotel somewhere in the USA – clearly a place with very questionable weather conditions.
The hotel accommodates people who engage in BDSM and kink and is therefore the perfect setting for a story with subtle D/S elements.
☾ what i liked about this book
I think it might make a great holiday read – but I was a little late to that party.
It was definitely enjoyable, and I got what I paid for, I would say.
I definitely liked that the setting and the relationship were both very safe and consensual, and even though Sylvia was radiating stereotypical “vicious domme” vibes, I liked her character and I wasn’t opposed to her character at all.
The spanking scene was definitely my favorite part of the book, but the ending was also super cute!
☾ what i disliked about this book
There was nothing I disliked about this book.
☾ should you read this book?
If you are in the mood for a quick erotica fix that is pretty accurate to what most BDSM experiences are like and isn’t some sort of fantasy while displaying a healthy BDSM relationship with nicely developed characters, and also have an affinity for any of the above mentioned kinks, then – Yes! Definitely, you are missing out on a great novella!
I would also recommend this one to people who are looking to ease themselves in the world of BDSM centered erotica, since this novella doesn’t assault you with niche kinks.
