☾ the synopsis
Violet has waited years for a date with Aiden, her crush from university who she was always too shy to approach. When Aiden finally asks her out, Violet thinks it’s too good to be true – then their first date gets even better. Aiden reveals that he knows about Violet’s dirty secret: she has a lewd Twitter account where she posts all her filthiest erotic fantasies. Aiden is determined to start making her fantasies come true, as he challenges her to games where losing brings some very sadistic consequences. Competitive Violet thinks that she wants to win and earn her “reward”…but soon discovers that she likes Aiden’s punishments even better.
☾ the characters
Violet is definitely not a newbie to the whole dom/sub relationship stuff, but she is shy about it, so her kinky twitter account is anonymous.
However, that doesn’t make Violet less of a teasing brat – and she’s also quite competative.
Aiden seems like your normal mr. nice guy – but he knows about Violet’s kinky twitter, and he comes to their date equipped beyond measure to make all her kinky fantasies come true – whether she likes it or not.
☾ the world building
The story is set at an arcade.
☾ what i liked about this book
I love the fact that it’s not as much of a niche-porn-thing as most of the things Harley writes that I’ve read before.
We all watch movies about people hooking up in public bathrooms, so chances that people might go on slightly and involuntarily kinky dates are quite high.
I’m also a fan of the whole “have a kinky twitter account that your date knows about so he makes all your fantasies come true” thing we have going on here, it’s very fun, especially considering Aiden reads them out to Violet every time he comes up with something new.
And Aiden… Well, damn. He seems like every secret submissive’s nightmare – he is definitely mine, which is why I would never have a kinky twitter account.
☾ what i disliked about this book
There’s nothing to dislike about this book.
☾ should you read this book?
If you’re going to start diving into Harley’s works, start with this one, because it definitely shows you all the things you never know you needed.
A must read, really.
