☾ the synopsis
Strict discipline for a naughty thief, courtesy of two very dominant brothers…
Riley has no problem stealing food from other survivors. After the fall of humanity, it’s a cruel world and she will do whatever it takes to survive, even if it means others will go hungry.
Then Riley is caught stealing from the Owens Brothers: two Southern boys who believe in good old-fashioned discipline. They’re determined to teach Riley a lesson, even if it means both brothers take a turn with her over their knee!
Naughty girl Riley won’t have her ways changed easily. Will it be the pain that convinces her to give up her thieving ways? Or the pleasure?
☾ the characters
Riley is a lonely survivor trying to get from where she is now to Florida to escape the rotters.
She encounters the Owens brother’s camp and steals their food because she is hungry, and then she tries to seduce and fool them into believing she’s a good person.
The Owens Brothers are like a combination of the Hemsworth Brothers, but southern mixed with Dean and Sam from Supernatural.
They are sexy, they drive a beat-up car around in a zombie apocalypse, they know a brat when they see one, and they are definitely too smart and too dominant to be fooled into letting a brat get away without a punishment.
☾ the world building
The book is set somewhere in America, presumably somewhere close to the west-coast during a zombie apocalypse.
The zombies are referred to as Rotters, and they will come when you scream just a tad too loud.
Humanity is wiped out for the most part, and there are definitely no lube or condoms around anymore.
☾ what i liked about this book
Actually it’s quite hard for me to pinpoint what I liked about this book, but I’m not very picky when it comes to the things Harley writes and the sex scenes were good, so that’s enough for me.
☾ what i disliked about this book
She’s an infuriating character. She’s a brat, like most of them are, but she thinks she’s so sneaky when in reality she’s just so. damn. stupid.
Jeez, girl. Get a grip.
Also I can’t deny I’m not really a fan of the whole zombie/survival genre, but that’s just a minor thing.
☾ should you read this book?
If you’re into The Walking Dead but you also love your fiction kinky and have a thing for anal sex and bondage, definitely give this a try.
However it’s not a book that you need to have read.
